Reflections 2014

2014 has been a Great year. These last few terms were amazing. Having fun in term 1 with the Swimming Sports, into term two with Netball then term 3 with the Sports Camp throughout to term 4 with Athletics. We had fun doing sports like every term.
Term 1 we had swimming sports, Softball and cricket. It was fantastic winning all those sports.
We had our school swimming sports. It was nice jumping into our pool and having a swim. It great because it was summer.
Term 2  we did Netball. It was boring because Rugby and Football was cancelled.
Term 3 we had Sports Camp. We had fun playing all those sports. It was also sad because we did not bring the same Awards from the last years Sports Camp team.
Term 4 we had filming for Manaiakalani. We made a movie called Snapped.
It has been a great year we had happy times and sad time but it has been great. I can't wait to go to college but at the same time I want to stay.DSC02602.JPG

Multiplication and Division

Snow Man MathsWe have been learning to find how many sets in a multiplication problem or a division problem. We play reinforcement games to help us learn more about multiplication or division sums. I played a game called snow friends. This game helped me with division sums and multiplication. The point of the game is to get to the snowballs and answer the sums that show up. The game was hard because I did not know all my multiplication and I only made it into level 2. I would try and learn my multiplication at home.

Survey Drinks

Double Graph
`WALT:Plan an investigation. Display data.

We had to do a survey and the sample group was 30.
My question was “What kind of fizzy drink the students in Glen Innes like. It shows that most students liked L&P and less students liked Lift. Most Students liked L&P maybe because of it very nice flavour. It was hard because we had to finish it in one day. It would of been easy if we did 20 instead of 30. My next learning would have to be algebra.

Basic Facts

Basic Facts.pngMy mark of the basic facts was 584.    I did well in solving my addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. I will need to improve my place values and to know how to use greater, less than and equal symbols. To improve I will get my mum and sister to ask me some equations 1 hour 4 times a week and do extra homework.  I hope the next time we do the assessment I get 100%.

Yummy Yummy

In Glen Innes Primary we have been learning to bring and eat healthy lunches. On the 30th of August we have been making sandwiches to show that we are being healthy and strong. Mr Naidoo hosted the 5+a day program for every child. Every teacher came around every table giving every child an ingredient to put in their sandwich. The ingredients were tuna mixed with chopped up apples, grated cheese, carrots and also ham. There were rhymes like 5+a day that's the healthy way, also there were pictures of people eating all of their veges and fruits.

When we were making our sandwiches I added cheese with carrot which was followed by ham. After I gobbled up my sandwich my group and I cleaned our table and put them away. After that we went and sat down because we were so filled up with sandwiches. Later that day I felt hungry, so when I got home I made me another sandwich but this time it was two times bigger than the last  one.
